Your Keys to Adventure

  1. Follow Park Drive into the park and park near the James B. Long House parking area. There will be a playground across from the parking area.
  2. Walk carefully across the road and locate the brown trail marker for Overlook Trail to the right of the playground.
  3. The path is a grass path. Follow it toward the woods. At the T intersection, go straight into the woods. You should see yellow trail blazes.
  4. At the brown post, turn right to follow Overlook Trail. At the next brown post, turn right again, staying on Overlook Trail, which goes uphill.
  5. When you reach the parking area, go straight across and toward the yellow blazes.
  6. At the T, you can turn left and go to the overlook to look out. To continue on the trail, turn right, go up the stone path and turn left toward the brown posts. Stay straight, passing the posts on your left and locate the yellow blazes on your right.
  7. Continue into the woods on the trail. You are now going downhill. You will pass a bench on your left and a post for the Nature Trail on your right and then Fire Trail on your right.
  8. Go left at the T to the overlook and the post will be here. Turn around to the Y and stay left, not following the yellow blazes. Go up a small hill and turn left on the trail, now following the yellow blazes.
  9. You will see a brown post for the Fire Trail shortly. At the next brown post, stay right on Fire Trail and head uphill.
  10. As you exit the woods, turn left to walk along the road and back to the parking area.
